Mountain Lion KILLED in Kentucky
Mountain lions, also known as cougars, and pumas, are North America’s largest cat. But when one was spotted for the first time since the Civil War in Kentucky. The mountain lion was killed on a Bourbon Country Farm on Monday.
After the farmer saw it stuck in a tree by a barking dog, he contacted the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Department. The officer shot the cat in fear that it would harm nearby cities, as it was getting dark.
The death of the mountain lion has lead to debates of whether shooting the cougar was right. Some people say that pumas don’t harm people, as only 22 people died from them over the past 125 years, while other people think the cougar WOULD harm people. What do YOU think?!
